Voting Question: Why can't I see the Aurora Borealis in North Dakota?

I live in central North Dakota, about 60 miles west of Grand Forks. Tonight there was supposed to be an auroral viewing, but when I go outside I don't see anything. Tonight's a 3, last night was a 4, and yet last night I didn't see anything either. I live in a town with no light pollution whatsoever.
